Her coat is a medium red and has a dark streak down her back, and her belly was silky smooth soft. Her spay scar was almost invisible. Her ears are long, extending below her head. Molly has a chip. Molly was microchipped to Central Texas Dachshund Rescue in Austin. They are aware that she was in the fire and have been on alert for her and do have my current contact information. She weighs approx 19 lbs and is painfully shy. She was not wearing a collar or tags but she had her shots in April, 2011. Rayona is family friend. --UPDATE-- These dogs are still missing - the black chow/lab mix is named Mitsy and the sandy/tan dog is Lucky. They are all fixed and at least Lucky and Mitsy are chipped, wearing collars, and tagged. Mitsy has two dewclaws on each front foot and Lucky has thick fur. They wouldnt let my mother go back for them, and we believe the people evacuating kicked in the door to let the animals run free. When we got around the door was open and so was the fence. Both do not have tags cause they were inside animals, but the female rottweiler has a pink collar, and the male st. benard has a blue collar which may not be noticed cause of his hair. If anyone sees them please let me know. Except for missing a lot of meals, she seems to be in great shape and appears to have been well taken care of until just recently. She has a great disposition and considers herself to be a lap dog, despite her size. Her teeth and skin are in great shape and she has piercing, beautiful eyes. We aren’t sure if she’s lost or abandoned, but she needs a home. This dog has been spotted for several days on Ponderosa Road between HY 71 and the river. THis is an area between Bastrop and Smithville. THIS IS NOT LARRY ELLMAN'S MISSING CATAHOULA NAMED PINKY. Larry was able to check this dog out before he ran off into a field. This is a healthy looking male (probably not neutered) that weighs about 60 pounds who has been attracting the attention of area residents and is being fed from time to time by at least one resident. The dogs supposedly spends lots of time hanging by Ponderosa Road about a mile or so towards the river from 71. Hopefully somebody will post a photo at a later date. I stopped and tried to called it, but was afraid that I would frighten it into traffic. I called Bastrop County Animal Control and they were sending someone to try to pick it up. Theres a slight limp, the animal if favoring the hind leg, but will put pressure.. I really dont wanna take it to a shelter just yet,.. I will give it a few days at my home. This animal is so sweet.. was covered in ashes and its fur matted down badly.. They acted as though they wanted to come see me... to investigate - but that it was too risky! They have to be someone's....... will look for them again tomorrow.
