5) LOST: BILLY. Black & White only Male Basset Hound, short/pigmy, bowed legs, overweight, not fixed. Barbara McFerrin 512-670-1143: 207 Bowie Drive (off Travis). Alt numbers: 512-762-7864 (daughter, Cindy Rubio in Leander, or 512-850-7751 Juan Rodriguez (son in law). House burned, nothing left, doors and gates open. Dogs were Lost from an area the fire was slow moving, but stayed long time, good chance dogs would have had time to run. Barbara is an animal lover and dog rescuer like us. She has lots of food and water on the property and Rebecca the dog, is still there with the goats & chickens.

Was dog ever found? I found a black/white Basset hound on October 7 near Manchaca/Slaughter area. He's a male but I think he's fixed. Call me @512-507-6892 if need more info. My name is Layne.

Craigslist... Found a basset hound mix about one half mile from Slaughter/Manchaca intersection. Male, neutered, probably about 6 years old. Black & white markings, appears to possibly be Springer Spaniel mix. Had faded blue canvas collar; no tags. Not chipped. Found on October 7, 2011. Very sweet boy. Click Here
