Original post: Irene wrote: "Erin, Maddie's underside fur has gray tips. Maddie is mistaken for a Persian, she is a domestic long-haired gray-tip. She is not declawed...she is an indoor cat, she totally freaked and hid when we had to evac Sunday, we looked until we just had to go. Our 3 in/out cats came right in & evac'd without incident. Monday we came looking for her going through LBA. She had not eaten, was hunkered under a bed, she ran from room to room from my husband & me. Caught her & calmed her down in my arms, she looked terrified, taking her out she tensed up immediately and totally went into fight & flight mode as we walked towards the car & smoke cloud 20 acres away, she climbed up my chest, bit my hand as I tried to keep her from going over my shoulder and ran like a triple crown champ into the woods towards Bluebonnet between Sage & Oleander. THANK YOU FOR BEING HERE FOR THE CRITTERS. FaceBook Link
