The well fed cats seemed right at home like they were just waiting for their folks to arrive. Thanks to the folks who came at dusk and offered assistance. The cats do seem to be "settling in". They must be feeling secure. When I left they were all lounging around in pretty close proximity to the food.

If you are looking for your pet it is best to go about 8pm or at dusk to get your bearings. Bring a flashlight and chair and enjoy the sounds of cats nipping at the food. They'll be coming for dinner.

I've heard the cats may also still be there at dawn. Our mailbox is on the ground on the side of the driveway. Don't drive all the way down the driveway or you may get stuck in the sand. If you can bring a little food or water with you to help that would be awesome.

Thanks so much for the ray of hope!!! I lost my babies in Circle D. Mine would be more tan and black (himalayan/siamese mix) but the white belly and white legs (both are snowshoes) fits. I'll come by and bring food soon.

I was there last night and saw what I believe was the tortie - short hair, slender, very standoffish and ran away while I was there.

update 10/8/11 - Just watched cats and fed cats at 137 Linda Lane. saw 12 eye shines. left food and water. picked up lots of empty bottles of water with lids to refill. Will leave at property tomorrow. big white cat with black on left side of face, had huge eyeshine almost double eyes, looked very different than other cats, but was definitely a domestic as it was hanging out with other cats. They responded with domestic sounds to my calls but still not coming too close. ~Wendi

Thanks so much Wendi! My husband went out Friday and replaced the water and food. We are going back out tomorrow. When you say you saw 12 eyes does that mean 12 cats or 6? Any chance you saw my tortie? My husband didn't see any cats when he went. I mailed 160 flyers with pix of a cat that looks like mine. 80 of those came back as undeliverable. :( I wish we could get pics of the cats at night!

Laura, sorry just seeing this. I saw 12 cats! It was dark so I couldn't see the cats' fur. Maybe Diana can get some pix of the cats at night, she has that awesome camera that took pic #900 at night.

Laura, we did get a pic of the tortie we saw on your place on Saturday night - it's not the greatest pic, but it's the first couple in this albumFaceBook Link

Laura - what about #803 here on the found side???

posted: Oct 19, 2011 at 05:14 pm

Thanks! 803 is not Sparkie. I don't think the one on facebook is either but she could have changed in all this time. We will be out there this Friday and settling up temp shelter to spend the night. Still need water and electric though. Thank you very much for all you are doing.

Are these cats still showing up? I lost both my orange tabby and black cat from 453 Pin Tree Loop. Pearl and Chui. I posted a pic recently of Pearl on the Lost side. Thank You!!!

Yes there are. We will be out there tomorrow and will keep an eye out. Have you been out to your property? Where is it located exactly as your address relates to Linda Ln? Pinetree loop east or west and north or south of linda ln? Any defining landmarks would also be helpful. Maybe we can put food and water out for you. And others on this page may hopefully help as well if they know the location. ~ Laura

Laura, it's been a year since I spoke to you about the cats. We are rebuilding soon and I was just curious if any more have shown up through out this time.
